Sensus, a provider of clean technology solutions, received the "Best Smart Grid Product or Solution" award at the fourth annual Rural Smart Grid Summit (RSGS). Over 100 rural electric cooperative executives voted to select Sensus for this award, recognizing Sensus' commitment to advancing smart grid technologies.
Sensus smart grid technology is driving operational and economic efficiencies for electric, gas and water utilities around the globe. One major component of Sensus' smart grid solutions is the open standards-based FlexNetTM advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) network, which provides two-way communication technology, smart meters, data analysis and service hosting that allows utilities and their customers to conserve resources, reduce energy costs and lower carbon emissions.
Sensus' smart grid solution was also recently selected to provide the core communication technology for the northern region of the UK smart metering program.
