Lebanon’s natural mineral water bottlers and distributors Tannourine Water will increase its production capacity with the installation of a Sidel Matrix Combi water line.
The new Sidel water line has a capacity of producing 31,500 bottles per hour.
Tannourine Water has also enhanced the existing design of its bottles with the integration of the patented Sidel StarLite water base which will help the company to reduce energy consumption during blowing.
Use of this technology will enbale Tannourine Water to reduce the PET consumption as well increase the bottle's durability, stability and resistance.
The bottles' new design also offers a more energy-efficient method of production. As producers are allowed to blow the bottles using lower amount of air pressure, it helps in saving energy.
The new bottles have been designed by Sidel's packaging team and are part of its Sidel Services business unit.
Apart from distribution of its products across the country, the company also supplies bottled water to neighbouring Arab countries, West Africa and Australia.
According to figures from Euromonitor, Lebanon's consumption of bottled water is expected to go up from 92.4 litres per capita in 2014, to 95.4 litres per capita in 2015.
The company sells around 150 million litres of water every year.
