The European Digital Press Association (EDP) has voted the Screen Truepress Jet L350UV digital label press Best Label Printing Solution in the 2014 EDP Awards that recognise the best in innovative technology in the digital printing market.
Truepress Jet L350UV digital label printer was launched last year. It handles widths up to 322mm (350mm web), productivity at 16.1 sq/m per minute from a linear speed of 50 m/min and photo-realistic images with very smooth gradations and fine detail. Sister printer, Screen's Truepress Jet W1632UV was awarded Best Wide Format printer over 1.6 metres at last year's FESPA in London.
The EDP awarded 28 Trophies this year at its 8th EDP Awards, from more than 120 entries.
"The amazing number of altogether 60 nominated products by the Technical Committee of EDP shows the innovation power in our digital industry", Rudolf Messer, EDP president, stated in his welcome address.
Each product submitted was investigated and evaluated by the members of the Technical Committee. Its features and qualities assessed by external experts as well. At the end of the submission period, the Technical Committee nominated the best in a category for the final judging round. A special EDP General Assembly was then held in Brussels, where representatives reappraised the finalists. Aspects such as value to the user, support and service were included in this round.
