Konica Minolta has established new European professional print division to reflect the increasing importance of the industrial and commercial printing sectors.
The company appointed Charles Lissenburg as general manager for the new division, which will focus on offering advanced products and solutions.
The division will focus more on offering marketing, software and cross-media services to take print applications to the next level.
In recent years, the company launched AccurioJet KM-1 UV inkjet sheetfed press and bizhub PRESS C71cf on-demand label printers for the customers.
Konica Minolts also developed advanced products and services for the packaging and professional printing sectors.
The company has collaborated with firms such as MGI Digital Technology to offer advanced solutions for the label and packaging customers.
Lissenburg said: “There are huge new opportunities within industrial and commercial printing markets which we seek to capitalise on.
“As we continue to grow our unique approaches into the high-end commercial print and industrial markets, it is key that we provide customers with insight and business tools to enable them to capture new market opportunities.
“The Professional Print Division aims to expand its digital printing business by leveraging its technologies to meet the need for high-mix, small-quantity variable production and short lead times, and by offering solutions to enhance printing operation efficiency.”
Based in Langenhagen of Germany, Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe provides printing systems and solutions to the customers in around 80 countries in Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
