Technology Application Engineer/Technologist
Description:
The Technology Application Engineer/Technologist provides highly responsive pre-sale and post-sale advanced application and technical product support for internal customers such as Field Sales & Eaton Plants, and external customers such as Distributors, OEMs, Systems Integrators, End-User Customers and Consultants.
Main Responsibilities:
• Provide advanced pre-sale application and technical product support for advanced or technology products, determine possible alternate solutions and assist in analyzing and recommending solutions that best fit the customer’s needs. Assist in warranty determination.
• Provide advanced post-sale application and technical support by helping internal and external customers to solve problems or troubleshoot new or existing installations.
• Assist in determining how our products will operate and interface with 3rd party manufacturers products.
• Deliver product training seminars and product demonstrations to Field Sales, Distributors, Eaton Plants, OEMs, System Integrators, End-User Customers and Consultants.
• Devise and write application notes to assist customers in properly applying our products.
• Provide timely emergency support after working hours in support of Eaton Electrical Services Department.
• Perform all job functions with adherence to Eaton’s Philosophy and Values as well as the Safety and Environmental standards.
Minimum requirements:
• 5-7 years of field engineering or technical support experience.
• Diploma in Electrical Technology.
Preferred requirements:
• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
• P. Eng., CET or C. Tech

• Ability to work independently and as part of interdisciplinary, multifunctional teams.
• Excellent interpersonal skills required to build relationship and influence decisions that will be beneficial for all parties involved.
• Ability to develop and deliver technical presentations to internal and external customers.

• Relocation is not offered for this position. Candidates outside of the immediate geographical area will not be considered for this position.
