Tropical Valley Foods Is Recalling Its Dark Chocolate

Tropical Valley Foods is recalling its Dark Chocolate,Organic Dark Chocolate and Trail Mix items sold in bulks as they contain wheat,soy or tree nuts which is not mentioned on the label,according to the US Food and Drug Administration(FDA).

The recall was initiated after an inspection by FDA found that these products contained no ingredient information on the bulk label.

The products being recalled were shipped to distributors and retailers in California,Colorado,Connecticut,Florida,Georgia,Illinois,Iowa,Maine,Maryland,Massachusetts,Michigan,Minnesota,Montana,Nebraska,New Hampshire,New Jersey,New Mexico,New York,North Carolina,North Dakota,Ohio,Oregon,Pennsylvania,South Carolina,South Dakota,Texas,Vermont,Virginia,Washington,Wisconsin,Quebec City,Hong Kong and Dubai UAE.

These products were distributed between 26 September 2011 and 25 September 2012.

There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of the recalled products.

Tropical Valley Foods advised consumers intolerant to wheat,soy or tree nuts not to consume these products as it may result in serious or life threatening reaction.
