Lincoln, the luxury vehicle brand of the Ford Motor, is planning to power the 2013 MKT sedan by a new 2.0 litre EcoBoost engine.
The new engine will generate an output of 235hp and a peak torque of 260 lb-ft, while the sedan will offer a fuel economy of 23mpg combined mileage when compared to the a combined mileage of 19mpg offered by the existing V6 Lincoln sedan.
According to the carmaker, the new 2.0 litre engine powered model will be significantly slower when compared to the 3.7litre V6 or 365hp 3.5-litre V6.
Lincoln said that the base price of the 2.0 litre EcoBoost MKT is expected to be $49,845, which is $1,100 less when compared to the V6 model.
