Peugeot Has Unveiled Its New Partner Electric Van

French carmaker Peugeot has unveiled its new Partner electric van, which is developed in collaboration with Japanese automaker Mitsubishi Motors.

The new electric van is powered by an electric motor, which will generate an output of 67hp and 200Nm of torque.

According to the carmaker, the power to the vehicle will also be assisted by two lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 22.5 kW/h that are set up under the body on either side of the rear axle.

The new electric vehicle will be offered in two lengths, including 4.38m and 4.63m, with the first one offering a load volume of up to 3.3m3, while the extended one provides a load volume of up to 3.7m3.

Peugeot said that the batteries can be charged in two modes, including a normal charge of up to 16A in 6 to 9 hours and a fast charge of up to 125A in 30 minutes.

The Peugeot Partner will be built at the carmaker's Vigo facility in Spain and is expected to be on sale in the second quarter of 2013.
