Mechel Targoviste Is Buying Scrap From The Market

Mechel Targoviste, the Romanian long product maker, is buying scrap from the market. The company is planning to resume steelmaking in March according to the company's new owner Invest Nikarom.

The company official said that it was the first time they restart to fullfilled the scrapyard. “The business plan for the coming time is to start manufacturing activities as soon as possible to fulfil all orders coming from the market,” Invest Nikarom pointed out.

A market scrap dealer indicated that the steelmaker's pays 45 days not the usual 30 may make some scrap dealers to hang back.
