Swedish ice cream producer SIA Glass has replaced its old thermoformed pot with a new injection-molded custom-made design from RPC Superfos. The container has tamper evidence, which improves customer safety.
SIA Glass founder Per Stenstrm said although the shape and size of the packaging have been retained, the company has attained considerable advantages with the new container from RPC.
"We now have in-mould labelling on the top and bottom, which makes it look even better in the cold counter because the lines and colours of the decoration and text are much sharper. The new packaging is also strong and does not break easily," Stenstrm said.
SIA Glass, which has also reduced operations in its production flow with the new filling line, will no longer need to add a label due to the in-mold labeling, resulting in better production.
Every new pot has the same dimension, which has been designed well to SIA Glass' production machinery.
