Recently, Outokumpu’s US Calvert stainless steel plant has announced that the company plans to increase its annual delivery capacity to 200,000 tons for both melt shop and cold rolled products in 2013. For the expanding project, Outokumpu’s Calvert has combined Mexinox’s cold rolling operations together in December of 2012. Meanwhile, the company has designed annual production capacity of 1 million tons and it has being successful to produce of 166 tons of type 304 stainless last year. Accordingly, it will absolutely help the company to again market share in the region.
