According to data released by Japan’s Ministry of Finance, Japan’s exports of stainless steel flat products totaled 53,386 tons in January, decreasing by 9.8% from a month ago while rising by 16.2% year on year.
In January, Korea was the largest importer of the Japanese stainless steel flat products with 13,854 tons, increasing by 20.2%; Taiwan was the second largest one with 8,663 tons, soaring by three times and Thailand was the third largest one with 8,623 tons, rising by 56.7%, all compared to those in the same period of a year ago.
In 2012, the country’s exports of stainless steel flat products totaled 783,512 tons, decreasing by 9.4% year on year.
