Wine merchant Sarment has expanded its operations to Singapore, in a move to bolster its presence in Asia.
The new venture will complement the company's existing presence in China, Hong Kong, London and Geneva.
Sarment offers a wide range of wine portfolio which includes fine wines that are sourced from France, Italy, Australia, and the USA.
Commenting on the new venture, Sarment founder Bertrand Faure Beaulieu said: "More Asian consumers are embracing wine as part of their lifestyle and there has been a greater demand for specialized wine services and experiences beyond purchase.
"In the coming year, we plan to establish Singapore as the main hub for the region while we look to expand our operations to other parts of South-East Asia like Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia."
Sarment, which works on a unique concept model, offers three membership tiers such as Noveau, Luxe and Privé whereby members will receive various benefits such as invitations to wine events, priority offers and discounts.
