US DOC,Its Administrative Review of The AD Order on Cut-to-Length Carbon Quality Steel

On Tuesday, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced the preliminary results of its administrative review of the antidumping (AD) order on cut-to-length carbon quality steel plate from Korea.

The review originally covered seven companies during the period from February 1, 2011, through January 31, 2012.

The DOC has calculated a preliminary dumping margin of 0.00 (zero) percent for Dongkuk Steel Mill Co., Ltd. In addition, the DOC has assigned the same dumping margin--0.00 percent--to two companies that requested reviews but were not individually reviewed. They are Samsung C&T Corp. and TCC Steel Corp.

The DOC also preliminarily determined that the remaining four companies--Daewoo International Corp.; Dongbu Steel Co., Ltd.; GS Global Corp.; and Hyundai Steel Co., Ltd.--had no exports, sales, or entries of subject merchandise during the period of review.

The DOC plans to complete this review by May 2013. The current dumping duty deposit rates will remain in effect until the DOC publishes its final results in the Federal Register.
