A new residential building is rising at the upper end of New York's skyline. Located on the corner of 56th Park Avenues, this slender building, which almost looks fragile, will be 420 meters high (approx. 1,377 feet). This is 3 meters higher than the 417 meters high former World Trade Center (541 with antenna).

For this mammoth international project, ECKELT GLAS from Upper Austria was selected to provide large energy efficient glass panes, beating out local and international competition. The aesthetic design and smooth seams allow for increased day lighting and unique panoramic views. Key to success was Eckelt's investment in manufacturing capabilities to produce insulated and coated glass up to the maximum dimensions of 3.3 x 8 meters. For 432 Park Avenue the coated panes are larger than 3 x 3 meters, which can only be manufactured by some specified glass processors worldwide.

Large energy efficient panes are a global trend, which positions ECKELT on the leading edge of the international market for exclusive and high performance glass facades. After a series of prestige projects in Paris, Rome and St. Petersburg, ECKELT continues to conquer the North American market. Other projects in the US include: 7World Trade Center, TKTS ticket office (both in New York City) as well as the new transportation hub at "Ground Zero".
