Packaging systems manufacturer Flavorseal has announced the launch of its new shrink bag, which has been designed for packaging fresh or frozen poultry.
According to the US-based company, the bag has a rounded bottom, high shrink rate and a glossy appearance all of which combine to create better final packaging for any whole bird or breast pack on the grocery shelf.
The high abuse bag can be heat sealed or clipped and protects the poultry during refrigeration and transport.
Flavorseal market manager Ryan Till said the company is aware that its customers have been looking for a cost-effective poultry shrink bag.
"We think our new Poultry Shrink Bag is their ideal solution," Till said.
The new bag is the latest addition to the company's full line of packaging for meat and cheese products including bone guard, high barrier and post pasteurization bags.
Flavorseal specializes in packaging systems and products for the food processing, foodservice and retail markets.
