Microsoft has announced a promotion which could net MacBook owners a whopping $650 if they’re willing to trade it in for a Surface Book or Surface Pro.
The initiative, announced after Microsoft’s latest event this week, comes as Apple unleashed its most advanced MacBook Pro laptops yet.
Microsoft will surely be hoping those current MacBook owners in-line for an upgrade will swerve that hefty price tag, switch teams and pick up the reward.
This week Redmond unveiled a new Surface Book with an Intel Core i7 processor that was deemed to be twice as powerful as the previous MacBook Pro generation.
How it stands up against the new model is yet to be seen.
In a post on the Windows Blog, Microsoft said this was a chance to get to grips with the ultimate laptop experience.
“Today, we are announcing a limited-time “trade up” offer to invite more people to experience Surface," wrote marketing bod Brian Hall
"If you have a Mac but want to experience the ultimate laptop with on-screen touch, Surface and Microsoft Store are here for you. Starting today, anyone in the U.S. can trade in their MacBook Pro or MacBook Air at a Microsoft Store or online for up to $650 off a Surface Book or Surface Pro.”
