The updated 2014 Renault Megane Coupe-Cabriolet has been shown for the first time with its newly facelifted front end, continuing the French marque’s renewal of its small car range.
Featuring Renault‘s new styling identity, first seen on the Megane in hatch, coupe and wagon guise in September and previously on the Captur, Clio and Koleos, the 2014 Megane CC facelift comprises a new front bumper, bonnet, headlights and grille and incorporates a larger Renault badge.
Renault says the convertible model can now also be specified with its R-Link connected multimedia system – coming as standard or optional equipment depending on trim specification. The system includes a chrome-rimmed seven-inch display and a centre console-mounted joystick controller.
With the changes restricted to aesthetics, the updated Megane CC will carry over its 103kW/195Nm 2.0-litre petrol engine and automatic continuously variable transmission unchanged.
The four-seat Megane CC will initially go on sale in Belgium in January and will launch in Australia at the same time as the rest of the updated Megane range in the second quarter of 2014.
The Renault Megane Coupe-Cabriolet currently starts at $36,990.
