Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports amounted to 126,023 mt in March this year, increasing 5.86 percent compared to February and up 6.91 percent year on year, according to the data released by the Pakistan Federal Bureau of Statistic (PFBS). The value of these imports in March was $55.46 million, increasing by 1.96 percent month on month and up 27.77 year on year.
Meanwhile, Pakistan's iron and steel imports in March amounted to 244,315 mt, increasing by 39.45 percent on year-on-year basis and up 95.07 percent compared to the previous month. In the month in question, the value of Pakistan's iron and steel imports was $193.05 million, increasing by 44.54 percent year on year.
