Research Solutions's wholly-owned subsidiary Reprints Desk has launched a compliance software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution for medical marketers.
Reprints Desk's Sunshine ePrints solution simplifies Sunshine Act compliance for the use of medical ePrints for sales, marketing and medical affairs.
The solution records the delivery of each ePrint to the physician across publishers with a customizable ePrint registration page and data collection includes healthcare professional (HCP) name, state and license number and unit-level ePrint cost.
Sunshine ePrints is an extension of Reprints Desk's reprint services including online ordering, publisher-licensing services, multichannel/multiplatform deployment including iPads and HCP portals.
Reprints Desk Global Services head Scott Ahlberg said that the pharmaceutical companies ensure that their use of scientific literature as an educational tool is fully compliant.
"While paper reprints are still a valuable leave-behind during an HCP detail or at professional meetings, transitioning to ePrints can make it easier to comply with new industry regulations and Research Solutions' subsidiary Reprints Desk is the company," Ahlberg added.
Companies out of compliance can be fined anywhere from $10,000 to $1,000,000.
