At the end of May this year, the number of employees in metal production and processing in Germany increased by 0.1 percent year on year to around 240,000, according to Germany's Federal Statistical Office (Destatis). Meanwhile, as of the end of May employment in the manufacture of metal products in Germany indicated an increase of 0.9 percent year on year to 504,000.
