The Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG has been teased ahead of its official unveiling and launch later this year.
The 17-second video gives us a sneak peek at the unique styling of the new S63 AMG performance sedan, highlighting the aggressively shaped intakes of its front bumper, its sporty rear diffuser and chrome-edged quad exhaust outlets, and its digital instrument cluster display.
The official teaser clip comes almost exactly one month after we got our first look at the new Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG, which made a surprise appearance in a video showcasing the production processes behind the sixth-generation S-Class.
The S63 AMG will become the flagship sports model in Mercedes-Benz Australia's new S-Class sedan family, with the local division electing to offer the new V12-powered S65 AMG exclusively as a coupe.
The S63 AMG is destined to reach our shores by December, following the S350 and S500 grades that will arrive earlier in the final quarter of the year.
Drivetrain specifics are unclear at this stage, though its 5.5-litre twin-turbocharged V8 is set to improve on the current model's 400kW/800Nm output and 4.5-second 0-100km/h ability. Fuel consumption is also tipped to fall substantially from the outgoing car's 10.6 litres per 100km average.
Australian specifications and prices will be revealed closer to the Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG's local launch in December. The current S63 AMG is priced from $392,400.
