Pharmaceutical and healthcare packaging manufacturer Chesapeake has installed a Mark Andy P7 flexo label press at its Wrexham operation in North Wales.
Chesapeake Wrexham operations director Ian Bates said the new press will support the company's growth plans and allow it to produce a wide range of labels particularly complex designs.
"The P7 press is also equipped with many quality control and time-saving features which will help us strengthen the quality and service levels we deliver to our customers," Bates said.
The Mark Andy P7 flexo press, which is suitable for short run lengths, is equipped with eight UV and hot air flexo print units and its set-up is fully automated.
An in-line camera inspection system monitors the print quality, which is adjusted at any manufacturing speed across a full range of substrates.
According to the company, the press is part of its ongoing investment program which has benefited all its global operations.
