China's Ministry of Commerce announced on November 1 that the government received requests to conduct anti-dumping investigations on Europe-based polysilicon imports in September. The announcement stated that as of November 1, Europe-based polysilicon firms will be included in the ongoing polysilicon anti-dumping investigation focused on US- and South Korea-based polysilicon firms.
A coalition lead by China-based solar-grade polysilicon makers such as GCL-Poly's Jiangsu subsidiary, LDK, China Silicon Corporation, and Daqo New Energy sent in documents to request an investigation against Europe-based polysilicon makers on September 17, 2012.
