This January, AATCC publications will launch a new peer-reviewed e-journal called AATCC Journal of Research.
The peer-reviewed scientific articles previously published in AATCC Review, AATCC's award-winning magazine, will now be published in the online AATCC Journal of Research.
For authors, the major advantages in publishing with the new AATCC Journal of Research are rapid communication of scientific information with no page charges and personal attention to authors' needs. Martin J. Bide of the University of Rhode Island will be the new journal's Editor-In-Chief.
For readers, the e-journal will offer the ease of search-ability. Between the existing EBSCO Textile Complete database and this new e-journal, AATCC members will find every article published by AATCC in a convenient, online, searchable, format.
"AATCC has always published high-quality peer-reviewed research as part of its magazine," says Bide. "The new AATCC Journal of Research will eliminate space restrictions associated with a print publication and respond to a growing volume of submissions. The textile world is expanding into fascinating and innovative areas and AATCC looks forward to publishing the best of that research to a relevant and engaged audience of readers."
The launching of AATCC Journal of Research is the latest step in the Association's history of providing the textile industry with award-winning publications. In addition to the new e-journal, an electronic version of AATCC Review will be produced along with the current print version of AATCC Review. The features and applied technology articles that are so popular with our readers will remain in both the online and print versions of AATCC Review.
Library and institutional subscriptions will be offered for the online AATCC Journal of Research and AATCC Review. AATCC will also continue to offer the print version of AATCC Review (without peer reviewed papers) for those institutions that prefer a print publication.
