The Vomela Companies have acquired US-based Tepel Brothers Printing for an undisclosed sum.
Based in Troy of Michigan, Tepel Brothers provides customized packaging, lenticular printing, and print on plastics services to the customers.
The company has coined the term Printiques, which describe print techniques that are required for the clients’ projects.
Coatings such as Spot UV Gloss and SoftTouch allow to offer velvet and ColorLogic special effects in one press run. They also hold capacity to print on plastics and synthetic substrates.
Tepel has installed Heidelberg UV presses and Bobst die cutters and folder/gluers with in-line PUR glue capabilities to produce high impact packaging products.
In addition, the firm produces lenticular and 3D motion pieces through using Ultra Violet process.
Under the deal, Tepel Brothers president and co-owner Jim Tepel will continue to manage the acquired business as division president.
Tepel said: “Tepel Brothers Printing has chosen well with this transaction. We are thrilled about the opportunities and capabilities the Vomela organization brings to Tepel Brothers clients.
“We are also looking forward to introducing the Tepel Brothers capabilities to the Vomela group and adding value throughout the impressive network.”
The Vomela Companies president: “Tepel’s talented personnel and state of the art manufacturing equipment will allow us to further support the packaging, printing and specialized graphic needs of innovative and forward-thinking clients across the nation.”
