Rockwell Solutions has introduced a laser-perforated version of its Reseal versatile film that allows food to be fresh for longer duration.
Formulated to seal to APET, RPET, PP and PE trays, the Reseal peelable films are resealable after opening, allowing the consumer to store uneaten food fresh for longer in the original packaging, reports Packaging Europe.
The laser perforation technology allows for extended shelf life for fresh produce both before and after peeling.
The film can also be used for confectionery, hardware bags, food in bags and thermoformed packs and is suitable for packing cooked sliced meats, bacon, cheese slices, fresh produce and the snack industry.
As cited in Packaging Europe, Rockwell's Reseal film is easy to open and consumer-friendly. It claims to have no residual odour; specially treated to prevent leakers; and can be resealed various times.
It also doesn't require any de-lamination or curling and can be used on standard machines. It is printable and suitable for lamination.
