Etichettificio Dany Invests in Screen UV Inkjet Press

Italian label printer Etichettificio Dany has invested in Screen Truepress Jet L350UV inkjet press to meet the increasing demand for low volume work.

Etichettificio Dany is engaged in printing self-adhesive labels primarily for food, beverage, detergents and personal care packaging.

Supplied to Etichettificio Dany by REM, Screen Graphic Solutions’ Truepress Jet L350UV has a running speed of 50m/min. It features proprietary Screen printheads with four step droplet technology and the Equios workflow system.

REM Solutions manager Ettore Maretti said that the printing system have been designed to meet the latest label and packaging market requirements, where volumes are continually decreasing and the need for frequent job changes and variations of the same job are more.

“Able to guarantee a high standard of assistance both during installation and after sales through constant remote monitoring of the press, this is a very important aspect to minimize downtime and ensure planned and targeted interventions. The result is at least 90% uptime of the press.”

Designed to allow rapid job changes with high production and quality standards, the press is an ideal solution for medium- and low-run work, Screen Graphic said.

Etichettificio Dany director Marco Olivieri said that the firm has installed the new machine to meet the demands of customers in relation to increased job variations and short-runs while complementing its existing flexo presses.

“Inkjet is an innovative technology that is still fairly new in terms of market adoption, meaning we can offer something different to our Italian competitors. We believe this investment will benefit all markets that need shorter timescales but require superior quality to other digital technologies.”
