INDEVCO‘s subsidiary INDEVCO Plastics has forayed into Texas, US, with its first manufacturing plant in Longview to produce petrochemical packaging products.
The investment is part of INDEVCO's strategy to meet the expected surge in demand in polymers market.
INDEVCO Plastics plans to install new equipment at the Longview plant.
INDEVCO Plastics operations executive vice president Robert Laird said: "Our Longview facility will be well equipped to deliver our customers a high-quality, cost-efficient and cutting-edge packaging solution."
The company said it will offer customers cost-efficient packaging solutions as well as develop technical innovations to optimise customer packaging platforms and accelerate the drive for sustainability initiatives.
For the project, the company is backed by investment advisory firm Arion Partners and the Longview Economic Development.
INDEVCO member companies offer a wide range of packaging to petrochemical companies in more than 40 countries.
The company offers paper and plastic flexible packaging, corrugated containers and displays, disposables, jumbo tissue.
It operates 51 manufacturing plants in the US, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, UAE, Greece, Ghana, Iraq and Cyprus and 21 business units across Europe, Africa and South Asia.
