The Reconstruction of Two Important Facilities Has Been Finished

Belarus-based Byelorussian Steel Works (BMZ) has stated that the reconstruction of two important facilities has been finished at its steel melting complex. The electrical-arc furnace No. 1 and the powder-gas catching aggregate No. 1 have been reactivated. The reconstruction will permit to increase steel production capacity, making the melting process more economical and ecological.

The reconstruction of the electrical-arc furnace No. 1 and the powder-gas catching aggregate No. 1 is an integral part of BMZ's development program until 2015, the main target of which is to reach 3 million mt of steel per year and complete usage of continuous cast billet with its full processing instead of its sale.
