US-based Megadyne Medical has entered into a multi-year contract with Intermountain Healthcare to supply electrosurgical equipment and accessories.
Although the two companies have worked with each other for more than eight years, the current agreement broadens the offering of Megadyne products.
Megadyne Worldwide Sales vice president Wayne Chappell said, "Megadyne is excited to offer Intermountain Healthcare's clinicians with electrosurgical tools that allow them to provide quality care to their patients, while reducing expenses and environmental waste."
As per the terms of the agreement, Intermountain will provide Megadyne's complete line of electrosurgical accessories such as the E-Z Clean line of non-stick electrosurgical tips, the Mega Soft Reusable Patient Return Electrode, ACE Blade and other electrosurgical accessories to its facilities.
The medical device contract includes Megadyne's Mega Power Electrosurgical Generator, and the carts and foot switches related to the products.
Intermountain Supply Chain Organization category manager Trent West said that the Megadyne products will be available for hospital staff throughout the organisation.
"This partnership aligns with our efforts to provide excellent medical care while working to be efficient in how we manage our supplies and expenses," West added.
The three-year agreement includes Megadyne products such as active electrodes, pencils, return electrodes, and mega power electrosurgical generators.
