International packaging and paper group Mondi has commenced full production at its new industrial bags plant in Sulaimaniyah, northern Iraq.
The greenfield project, in collaboration with local partner Kaso Group, is expected to strengthen Mondi's industrial bags business in the expanding Middle East and North Africa region (MENA).
According to Mondi, the project coincides with the company's strategy to support its customers' expansion in emerging markets.
The industrial bags plant in Iraq will serve the growing cement industry.
