Sweden-based Arctic Paper Grycksbo has unveiled new coated paper products range AP-Tec for packaging applications.
According to Arctic Paper, the new AP-Tec range consists of three products including AP-Tec Liner, AP-Tec Pack and AP-Tec Flex.
Built with coating technology, the products feature high bulk and better printability.
AP-Tec Liner is said to be a coated, fully bleached liner with high whiteness suitable for preprint and lamination on corrugated board. It has been designed for brands that require advanced print, high whiteness and finish to give the product the right image.
Arctic Paper's double-sided AP-Tec Pack, a coated solid board in high whiteness, has been designed for smaller packaging where print quality, runnability and cost efficiency are crucial.
AP-Tec Flex is also said to be a coated packaging paper in high whiteness suitable for extrusion, lamination and flexible packaging.
Arctic Paper coated products product manager Jaana Ahlroos said the company conducted marketing studies as well as technical product development activities in the mill and on-site at packaging converters in the last one year.
"Our unique coating technology, Mirroblade, gives both an excellent print result and contributes to a higher bulk than is achieved with common blade coating technology, added Ahlroos.
All AP-Tec products are claimed to be produced from virgin fibers.
