Ohio Office of Budget&Management Controlling Board Announces Demolish Two Blast Furnaces

The Ohio Office of Budget and Management Controlling Board has announced Clean Ohio Assistance funds to demolish the two blast furnaces, boiler house and annealing building at RG Steel's former Steubenville, Ohio flat rolled steel mill. The funds will also be used toward cleaning on the building and preparing it for future development.

Local news media indicated that Strauss Industries subsidiary River Rail Development could invest $15 million to develop an industrial park to support metals recycling and shale gas operations on the site.
