Usiminas's Steel Prices Would Also Increase by 6%~ 8% in March

Reportedly followed with the price increase announcement by Usiminas, the largest steel mills in Brazil accounting for 28% of total steel output in Brazil, that their steel prices would also increase by 6%~ 8% in March.

The Brazilian steel producer Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional (CSN), the largest fully integrated steel producer in Brazil and the second major steel-maker company in Brazil also decided to hike the steel prices second time in a row in 2013 as results of increased cost of production.

The new increase of steel prices announced last week made it clear that CSN raises 6%~8% of its current steel prices. It is said that CSN hikes 6% for cold rolled coil and increase 7%~8% for hot rolled coils and galvanized coils.
