Annandale Distillery Resume Production After 95 Years

Annandale Distillery, a whiskey distillery producing single malt Scotch whiskey in Scotland, has resumed production after 95 years.

Thomson and Church, which acquired the distillery in 2007, have invested around £10.5m in a redevelopment project to restart operations at the facility, Digital Journal reported.

It commenced the restoration work in 2011 after getting all necessary planning and historic building permissions.

Prior to the restoration work, a part of the distillery had been used to manufacture porridge oats by converting the distillery maltings, kiln and mash house into a grain drying plant.

The distillery plans to release two single malt Scotch whiskeys under Man O' Sword and Man O'Words labels. Both the offerings will be available by early 2018.

Additionally, Annandale plans to launch a blended Scotch whisky Nation of Scots.
