It is said that Turkey's largest integrated steel producer, Erdemir Group, has tendered for a second continuous galvanizing line at its Eregli works,and also for its melt shop upgrade at its Iskenderun works.
Erdemir sets budget plan of US$300 million investment in 2013 for various projects including a new galvanizing line to serve the domestic automotive sector.
Erdemir Group produced 9.1 million tons of crude steel annually. Meanwhile, its Eregli works produces hot rolled coil, cold rolled coil, hot-dip galvanized coil, HR plate and tinplate; the Iskenderun (Isdemir) works produces billet, wire rod and HRC.
