Raymond-Hadley of New York is recalling Wegmans Gluten Free Double Chocolate Brownie mixes as the products contain milk as ingredient that is not mentioned on the label, according to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
The recall was initiated after it was noticed that chocolate chunks used in the mix were received in packaging that did not reveal the presence of milk. Further investigation confirmed milk as a possible cross-contaminate in the chocolate chunks used in these mixes.
The product being recalled was distributed in 17.2oz. through the Wegmans retail outlets. This product bears UPC 077890283363, use by date 30 October 2013 to 19 December 2013.
There have been two reports of rash as of 12 October 2012, associated with the recalled product.
FDA warned customers intolerant to milk not to consume this product as it may result in serious or life threatening reaction.
