Molson Coors Brewing Has Announced Plans to Cut Over 100 Jobs at Its Brewery in Hampshire

Molson Coors Brewing has announced plans to cut over 100 jobs at its brewery in Hampshire, the UK.

The Hampshire brewery is expected to close at the end of May 2015.

However, East Hampshire District Council said that it will support affected employees.

The BBC quoted Molson Coors Brewing Company as saying that it had not been able to replace the work lost when Heineken moved its production back in-house.

The company also said that it is working together with employees at the site in order to mitigate job losses.

District councilor Julie Butler said the authority will talk to Molson Coors, Hampshire County Council and others to plan for the regeneration of the brewery site.

Molson Coors Brewing Company manufactures and sells beer and other beverage products.

The company brews or distributes licensed products under the Heineken, Amstel Light, Murphy's, Newcastle Brown Ale, Strongbow cider, Miller Lite, Miller Genuine Draft, Miller Chill, Milwaukee's Best, and Milwaukee's Best Dry brands.
