If you’re not keen on the OnePlus 3 ‘Graphite’ colour option, we’ve got some good news: there’s a gold version incoming.
OnePlus has confirmed that a ‘Soft Gold’ variant of the OnePlus 3 will go on sale in the second half of July. The only version of the phone available right now is a dark grey ‘Graphite’ model, although there are a range of cases available, including: Bamboo, Karbon, Black Apricot, Rosewood, and Sandstone.
The new Soft Gold version’s release window was confirmed by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei, answering a fan query on Twitter. It’s expected that the ritzy-hued OnePlus 3 will retail for the same price as the Graphite variant – £309.
OnePlus 3 in 'Soft Gold'
The OnePlus 3 was launched earlier this week during a dedicated live-streamed VR event. It’s the fourth smartphone ever released by the fresh-faced Chinese firm, and has been received well by critics so far.

The OnePlus 3 features a 5.5-inch Full HD screen, a Snapdragon 820 CPU, a 3,000mAh battery, a 16-megapixel camera and, most notably, an impressive 6GB of RAM. It also sports a fingerprint scanner, Dash Charge fast-charging, and NFC – a feature sorely missed on the OnePlus 2.
