350Green, a developer of electric vehicle (EV) charging station networks, has won a contract for electrical charging stations from The Cooperative Purchasing Network (TCPN), a national governmental purchasing cooperative that contracts on behalf of K-12 schools, local governments, colleges, universities, and non-profit organizations.
The company said that the deal will reduce costs and streamline the purchase and contracting process for government entities planning EV charging projects across the country, and it also includes electrical charging equipment, installation and network services provided at discounts and savings to eligible public agency customers.
TCPN bids and awards contracts to national vendors in accordance with purchasing procedures mandated by state procurement laws and regulations.
350Green co-founder and CEO Mariana Gerzanych said that thecontract will make it easier, faster and less costly for government agencies to offer electric vehicle charging services to their employees, customers and the general public.
"As record high gas prices increase interest in EVs among consumers, it's now more important for government agencies to lead the way for easy electric car adoption," Gerzanych said.
TCPN vice president of sales Chris Penny said this contract is positioned for public sector agencies to offer advanced technology that has a positive impact on the environment and meets the needs of citizens while also meeting their obligation to save money.
