The American Coatings Association (ACA) has released a video, entitled “Coatings Protect, Preserve, Provide.”The video highlights the value that coatings add to a vast array of man-made objects, and shows how coatings contribute to sustainability by protecting and preserving the useful life of the things to which they are applied. In addition to demonstrating the vital and intrinsically sustainable role coatings play, the video underscores just how pervasive coatings are in our society.
The video is part of ACA’s Communications Outreach Program, which is intended to educate audiences about the coatings industry. The Sustainability Series focuses on the purpose of coatings and the benefits they provide. In addition to the video, ACA has a dedicated webpage and brochure that feature extensive examples of exactly how “Coatings Protect, Preserve, Provide.”
ACA’s goal is to demonstrate the tangible value of coatings, by presenting real-life and measurable instances where coatings applications protect structures, preserve objects, and provide more sustainable possibilities.
