HIGH POINT - Bernhardt, Surya and Four Hands took the top honors for excellence in showroom design here, honoring creativity and innovation.
Awards were presented by the High Point Market Authority at the market's press breakfast.
Bernhardt received the Best of Market Award in the Showroom Design Competition, as determined by a jury of industry editors. The panel included Newell Turner of Hearst Publications, Mark McMenamin of Interior Design and Tobi Fairley of Tobi Fairley Design.
Runners up for Best of Market were Miles Talbott and Standard Furniture.
The Fashion Focus Award, a new award this year, was given to Surya for its fashionable display featuring a couture dress in Surya's fabrics. The runner up for this award was Elaine Smith.
For the People's Choice Award, marketgoers were invited to vote for their favorite showroom design via Twitter or text messaging. For the fourth time in a row, the award went to Four Hands. Runners up in included Universal and Wesley Hall.
Winning entrants in each category were presented with a crystal trophy cup for display in their showrooms.
