Infiniti, the luxury vehicle brand of the Japanese carmaker Nissan, is planning to unveil the Emerg-e electric sports car concept at the upcoming 2012 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance event to be held in California, US.
The electric sports car concept will be powered by the mid-engined, twin electric motor, which is expected to generate an output of 402hp and allow the concept to sprint from 0 to 60mph in 4.0 seconds.
According to the carmaker, the Emerg-e Concept operates in zero-emissions for about a 30-mile range.
Infiniti will also debut its 2013 IPL G Convertible, powered by a 343hp 3.7-litre V6 engine mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission, along with LE Concept electric vehicle (EV) and the Red Bull Racing Formula 1 showcar.
The Japanese carmaker also revealed that it intends to launch a production variant to the line-up, based on the LE Concept EV, in 2014.
