The Saint Louis Brewery in the US will procure glass bottles for its Schlafly Beer from rigid packaging firm Ardagh Group.
A long-term supply agreement to this effect has been signed between both the companies.
As per the agreed terms, Ardagh will produce 12oz specially-designed glass bottles for 500,000 cases of 20 different Schlafly beers.
The glass bottles will be produced at Ardagh Group's plant in Pevely, Missouri.
Commenting on the agreement, The Saint Louis Brewery co-founder and CEO Dan Kopman said: "The agreement with Ardagh Group helps us achieve sustainable practices, but more importantly, it just makes sense because it's so close to home.
"We are keeping more dollars in our community which is critical to us as a local brewery."
Majority of craft brewers prefer glass bottles to package their products as the non-porous and impermeable packaging will help beer to retain its integrity.
Additionally, the Food and Drug Administration has rated glass bottles as Generally Regarded as Safe which are 100% recyclable.
