US-based brewing establishment 21 st Amendment has announced plans to expand its $21m production facility in San Leandro.
The San Leandro brewery, which is spread over an area of around 95,000ft2, was opened in May this year.
As part of the expansion, the company will add an additional 58,648ft2 space at the existing production site.
Earlier this year, 21 st Amendment said that the San Leandro space will be capable of producing 100,000 brew barrels with plans to increase capacity to 300,000 barrels.
The company had also announced plans to open a tasting room and cafe in brewery in 2015.
21 st Amendment plans to add close to 120 new jobs at the brewery over the next few years.
Founded in 2000, 21 st Amendment offers a wide range of hand-crafted house beers such as South Park Blonde and Hell or High Watermelon Wheat.
