Daktronics Inc. of Brookings, South Dakota recently installed a large-screen LED (light emitting diode) video upgrade to Digital Domain Park, home of the St. Lucie Mets, a minor league baseball team in Florida. The new video display measures over three times larger than the previous video display and features the latest LED technology.

"The new video board offers great clarity and more options to enhance the in-game experience," said Paul Taglieri, Director of Florida Operations/General Manager. "The video board has immediately enhanced the fans' experience, they can't stop talking about the new display.

The video display board measures about 20 feet high by 35 feet wide. Daktronics says it provides superb clarity and contrast of video images with excellent viewing angles throughout the stadium. The video board can operate as an independent display showing single large images or be divided into multiple zones (windows) to show a wide variety of statistics, information, graphics, animation and live and recorded video. The board can also be used to recognize and activate sponsors.

The new video board will integrate seamlessly with existing Daktronics scoreboard and message display equipment in the current outfield structure. Daktronics new Show Control system is also included in the project. The company's touts it video processing system as the best in the industry for processing and scaling live and recorded video signal to vivid digital imagery on large LED displays. The Show Control system is one of the latest developments from Daktronics, providing a combination of control software, data integration, and playback hardware.
