Alpha Packaging, a manufacturer of bottles and jars, has selected InfinityQS ProFicient to automate data collection, take control of quality, and achieve visibility across its manufacturing operations.
The company, which deployed the software provided by InfinityQS International at its St Louis and Bethlehem, Pennsylvania plants, plans to incorporate it into its existing quality assurance programs, and integrate it with its IT system.
Alpha Packaging director of quality Shane Jordan said the ability to take action based on real-time data from its machines allows the company to prevent any potential downstream problems with the bottles even after production.
"InfinityQS ProFicient was highly recommended by many of our quality managers as the industry standard for real-time Manufacturing Intelligence," Jordan added.
By using the software, the company will get assistance in producing the proper data and level of quality expected by the pharmaceutical industry for high-density polyethylene (HDPE), polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and polylactide (PLA) bottles and jars.
The software will be implemented at the company's remaining five plants during the 2013 calendar year.
