The British Timber Trade Federation (TTF) reports that at the beginning of 2012 it expelled two members from among its ranks. According to the latest TTF Newsletter, the affected companies had not implemented the federation's condition of membership that requires a responsible purchasing policy and associated exercising of due diligence in purchasing. A total of six TTF member companies were suspended for that reason in March 2011. Four of those companies had introduced the necessary structures by December 2011, whereupon the federation lifted their suspensions, while the two remaining companies have now been expelled from the federation.
