a New Particle Foams Range Ideal for Many Packaging Applications to Be Introduced by Basf

German chemical company BASF is set to introduce its new range of particle foams which are ideal for many packaging applications and protect products.

BASF's closed-cell particle foam Neopolen is a fitting material for reusable transport containers and recyclable packaging and is offered as Neopolen E (expanded polyethylene) and Neopolen P (expanded polypropylene) in the market, azom.com reported.

Neopolen E, which has a new level of softness can protect sensitive surfaces and is available in panel form in black and white colors with densities of 22, 32 and 52 kg/m3.

Offered in particle form, the Neopolen P can be foamed into a wide range of components with the help of automated molding systems.

Both foams protect products from repeated impact load and have low weights and good energy absorption levels.

Another product to be introduced is a tough-elastic foam and an advancement of expandable polystyrene E-por, which is ideal for impact-resistant disposable packaging to provide protection to electronic devices.
